We are honored to dedicate this year's Chasing Rainbows 5k to Chase James Brewer, who tragically passed away at just 9 months old in June 2025 due to Congenital Heart Disease (CHD).
Proceeds from the race will benefit the Chasing Rainbows Foundation and Conquering CHD. Funds will support OBX families with grief counseling and help advance research, education, and advocacy for those impacted by CHD.
Founded in memory of my son, B.B. Collins (2019), the Chasing Rainbows Foundation offers compassionate support to mothers and families affected by pregnancy and infant loss by providing education, teaching self-advocacy skills and coping mechanisms, helping families adjust to life after loss, and giving hope for subsequent pregnancies. Conquering CHD works to conquer the most common birth defect by raising awareness, providing patient education, advocating for research and public policy, and supporting CHD patients and families through every stage of the journey.
