The Upper Missouri Relay for Life has been within Williston for many years and has fundraised over 1 Million Dollars for the American Cancer Society. The American Cancer Society supports cancer patients and is the 2nd leading organization that funds cancer research in the United States. In 2022, the American Cancer Society provided 2 million dollars worth of transportation grants to hospitals within North Dakota to help patients travel to the treatment they need.
