Because they envision a thriving community without poverty and suffering, they invest a tremendous amount of time, love and education toward Third Ward’s youth, as well as efforts to revitalize the physical community.

Gen1’s current programs are:

•Neighborhood revitalization – cleaning and mowing lots, painting houses, trash collection and other beautification efforts

•Generation One Academy (G1A) – Tuition-free, private, Christian education for children in 3rd Ward between 3 years old and 5th grade, including extended day with enrichment and tutoring

•Each One Reach One Mentoring– available to children in Third Ward between Pre-K and 5th Grade

•Generation One Screen Printing Shop – provides employment and job readiness skills to young men in “the bottoms” of  Third Ward

•Generation One Sewing Shop - provides employment and job readiness skills to young women in “the bottoms” of  Third Ward

Agreeing to participate as a sponsor for R4G1 is agreeing to invest in better lives for the residents of the lower Third Ward and in the development of stronger citizens for Greater Houston.
