Description
7PM*Friday*August 17th 2018-A pure bridge 5K on a Friday evening with spectacular sunset views. The course goes from Texas over the bridge to Louisiana and back to Texas, twice.
This year's event is dedicated to Alzheimer's research.
For Sabine Causeway 5K this Friday, you may register in-person on race day between 5PM-6:30PM. Packet pickup happens at the race between 5PM and 6:30PM. (Please do not park in front of the store. Parking is at Walter Umphrey Park, as well as the boat dock and under the bridge. Plenty of free, close parking.) Packet pick up and race address:

Awards: 5 Year Age Groups
Free and plentiful, close parking at Walter Umphrey State Park.
Race Course: Start on the Texas side of the bridge, cross into Louisiana and return to Texas. Repeat the route and finish where the race started. The races crosses the bridge over and back two entire times. 4 climbs, 4 descents.
Runners and walkers welcome. Participants have 75 minutes to complete the course. One lane of the bridge and one shoulder are closed to traffic. Always be mindful of your own safety.
