Join us for a fun run and walk against childhood obesity on September 20th in Houston, as Midas Football Academy takes a serious step towards raising awareness for obesity. The goal is to raise funds to help teenage boys and girls develop structured athletic activities in the community to reduce obesity and eliminate behavioral issues.
National childhood obesity awareness month begins each year on September 1st and runs through September 30th. This is our 2nd campaign for this cause.
Reaching the $10,000 goal will allow our nonprofit to take soccer to more underserved communities so more children and teenagers can have the Right to Play.
According to the National Institutes of Health, obesity and overweight together are the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States. Reducing obesity and tackling mental health among children and teenagers is part of our organization’s three focus areas.
Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to get active, this event is for everyone! It's a great opportunity to support our young athletes, promote fitness, and enjoy a day of community spirit together.
Each participant will receive an exclusive Midas Football Academy 5K t-shirt!
