Striving to Combat Cancer 

Donations given will support the WVU Hospitals East Foundation's Cancer Comfort Fund and the WVU Cancer Institute at WVU Medicine Berkeley Medical Center. 

The Cancer Comfort Fund provides crucial emergency assistance to local cancer patients who don’t qualify for other programs. It covers immediate needs such as food supplements, medications, and gas cards for transportation to medical appointments. 

Donations will also enable the cancer institute to acquire new patient treatment chairs, ensuring a more comfortable experience for patients during their lengthy treatments.

Your gift today directly helps a local community member with cancer focus on treatment and recovery, without the added burden of financial worry. Donations will also support supplying essential equipment and resources to enhance patients' treatment and overall health experiences.


The Bob Baronner Apple Trample 5k is much more than a fun run. To the Bank of Charles Town (BCT), Apple Trample 5k Elite Sponsor, it’s a way to commemorate former BCT President and CEO and community member at large, Bob Baronner.  Bob lost his battle with cancer in early 2017, but his memory and legacy continues through the annual Apple Trample 5k event as colleagues, friends and family participate to raise awareness and support for our community’s health and well-being and for those who are in the midst of their own battle with cancer.
