SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES FOR THE DR. TOMBAUGH DASH
We are pleased to present the following opportunities for your organization to sponsor the third annual Dr. Tombaugh Dash – Family 5K & Fun Run occurring this Father’s Day, June 19, 2022.
The vision for this family-focused event is to provide a healthy day full of fun, fitness, and philanthropy while celebrating fathers. All are invited to attend as a family – perhaps with a father or in honor or memory of one.
All proceeds from this event will be used to maintain the Dr. George Tombaugh Fund established by the Tombaugh family via the Westerville Education Foundation (WEF) for the benefit of Westerville City School District (WCSD) students. We are committed to funding innovative, creative, and inclusive initiatives and bringing educators’ visions to life.
My father, former WCSD Superintendent Dr. George Tombaugh, passed away on February 20, 2019. He will be remembered as a thoughtful and intentional leader who dedicated his entire life to educational excellence for all. The establishment of this fund, and the ability to fund many amazing grants throughout the year, provides a meaningful way to celebrate his life while serving others. We aspire for this event to positively impact many lives and families physically, mentally, emotionally, and academically – all of which my father would have loved. He was my health and fitness role model and a community leader I continually learned from.
