River Otter Open Water

Here's your chance to get your feet wet in open water swimming! Geared toward younger swimmers (10 and under) it is just the right gateway distance. This event will not be timed with individual starts to avoid crowding. The course will be an arch shape from the dock to the launch ramp and will be well supported with kayaks, noodles and jetskis just in case.

This 1/4 mile open water swim is open to swimmers 18 and under and will be chip timed. Awards will be given to the top 3 boys and girls in each age group. The course will be an out and back from the dock around a buoy and back to the launch ramp and will be well supported with kayaks, noodles and jetskis just in case. It will have wave starts of approximately 25 swimmers each. Swimmers are asked to perform a test run of the distance in the pool and include the finish time during registration.
