Zombie Survival Crawl Obstacle Course Run

RACE INFORMATION AND SAFETY
Welcome to the first annual Zombie Survival Crawl Obstacle Course Run! A few guidelines to make it a great experience:

ENTRY FEE & PARKING
Entry into Woodward Park is $5.00 and includes all day Parking. Come early to get a good spot!

CHECK-IN
Event and race check-in will be at the Group Activity Area next to the Japanese Garden . Check-in will start at 9:00 AM day of the event. All Survivors (runners) will get a flag belt with three "health" flags. If registering on race day, you must bring a signed waiver form (printed from race website). All minors under the age of 18 must have a parent’s signature. Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the obstacle course, but may stand on the sidelines and cheer. Race day registration is $40, cash or check, with no discounts.

WHAT TO BRING
Zombies should come dressed as Zombies with face makeup to look like the walking dead. Bring your signed race waiver if registering on race day (plus $40 entry fee). If you register online you do not need a printed waiver. Wear clothing you can get dirty. Survivors are encouraged to wear costumes but Survivors should not look like Zombies! No hard or sharp objects and no weapons (real or fake) or alcoholic beverages allowed. Check the weather before race day, bring appropriate rain gear if needed.
Please, no pets allowed for safety reasons.

RACE FORMAT
For Survivors the goal is to make it through the 200 meter obstacle course with at least one health flag. The course is made up of man-made obstacles with an apocalyptic theme, old tires to stutter step through, a bloody pool filled with body parts...and other horrors we shall not speak of. Oh yes and did we mention...Zombies! Even if all of your flags have been taken, keep running! You can drag your mangled body across the finish line before Transformation takes hold.
For Zombies the goal is to tear juicy strips of flesh (flags) from the Survivors and eat their brains!

WEATHER
We will race rain or shine from daylight to dark. In the event of a severe storm, the race may be postponed until.

GENERAL RULES
A parent or guardian must sign the waiver for anyone under 18, Survivor or Zombie.
No weapons or mock weapons will be permitted on the premises.
No drugs, alcohol, or outside food/beverages are permitted on the property.
No pets are allowed into the event grounds.
Participants and spectators must abide by all instructions given from the race directors, race staff, volunteers, and medical personnel.
