UHG Inaugural Wellness Run & Expo
This will be the organization's biggest community event. Our intent is to show commitment to influencing community wellness in Richmond, Ca. This is an event that we want to host annually. It is through this event that we bring together community, community stakeholders, visitors, wellness vendors, entities, and providers for a free wellness expo.
We will raise money from the 5K registration and sponsorships. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the West Contra Costa Ed Fund, event expenses, and stipends for UHG programming to increase access to our services.
The race route is to be released in January 2022.

Hello, Due to multiple external factors outside of our control and feedback from the community of inability to pay, we have reimaged our Inaugural Wellness 5K Run. We have decided to make the run experience FREE and changed the route location to the shoreline of the Richmond Marina. Where: Shimada Friendship Park When: March 5th at 08:00am How: In-person with PPE Who: All Ages Welcomed We thank you for your advanced sign-up as a runner! You will be refunded your registration fee. We hope that you will join us on March 5th for our re-imagined UHG Inaurguall Wellness 5k Run! What you can expect: Join in community run/ walk along the San Francisco Bay Trail 8 AM The first 25 participants are guaranteed a T-Shirt to commemorate participating in the wellness run Enjoy locally-sourced, organic treats from Urban Remedy post 5K What changes: The new route location, no expo experiences. In lieu of our crowdfunding initiative, Urban Health Group will be donating directly to West Contra Costa Education Fund and Moving Forward 510 on behalf of the community & UHG. COVID -19 has greatly impacted our local community, this is our small effort to support BIPOC led agencies in servicing the community.
