Run, Walk, or Hike to complete 30 miles throughout the month of April! We will send a general guide of how this can be accomplished, but you have the freedom to work the miles in around your schedule.
This is the first month of the 12 month challenge benefiting Hollywood Huskies and The HOPS Project!
Every month there will be a new fitness challenge. You can sign up for one event or all of them! Upon completing each challenge, you will receive a pin commemorating your accomplishment. Participants completing all 12 challenges will receive a Hollywood Huskies and The HOPS Project logo pins in addition to their last challenge pin.
We would love for you to post your progress on Instagram! You will be spreading the word about our monthly challenges while inspiring others to be active. Please tag us and use #activeforhuskies for the chance to be featured!
Don't forget to send us proof of your mileage so that we can keep track, send your pin upon completion, and enter you for one of our monthly prizes!
The prize categories are:
1. Most miles performed throughout the month of May (you don't have to stop at 30!)
2. Fastest pace over (your first) 30 miles
3. Most miles completed with a dog
4. Our favorite picture of you and your dog working to complete the challenge
5. Our favorite crazy outfit worn while working to complete the challenge
The easiest way to send proof of your mileage is via the (free) Strava app. It has a function to record your activity and then allows you to send to us via text, Instagram stories, etc.
As with all physical endeavors for you and your pet, make sure that you are prepared for the activity by being cleared by your (and their) doctor, stay hydrated, fuel appropriately, and stay safe. Please be aware of temperature and participate accordingly (for you and your pet's safety). We are not responsible for any adverse event, illness, or injury that may occur while participating in our virtual challenges.
