Course Description: The course is contained to the campus East Hartford High School: Home of the Hornets! and many proud recipients of our student scholarships and teacher/staff mini grants. Runners will begin with an opportunity to settle into their pace on the school track before heading out onto a varied route that combines paved roads, athletic fields, sidewalks, and a shaded wooded section featuring uneven terrain and a few minor natural obstacles. This flat, loop-style 5K offers a welcoming experience for runners and walkers of all levels. Whether you’re chasing a personal best, enjoying a walk with friends, or showing your support for East Hartford’s schools and community, the course provides an approachable mix of surfaces and scenery while showcasing one of the town’s central educational landmarks. It’s a spirited community route designed to make everyone feel at home, from first-time 5K participants to seasoned racers. 

The 1.5-Mile Walk is a six-lap walk around the track at East Hartford High School, designed for those who may not want to commit to the full 5K but still want to participate and support our event.
