Event: Homeless Hustle 5K Run/Walk
In light of recent events impacting our nation due to the coronavirus and following the recommendations of the CDC, the Lee County Homeless Coalition has made the decision to change the Homeless Hustle 5K Run/Walk into a VIRTUAL 5K.
The good news is that virtual races happen all the time and allow you to join in the fun without the crowds. Simply run the distance on your own (either outdoors or with a treadmill) and post your results. It is that easy!!
We will have all the instructions that you need to make this possible. Fleet Feet Fort Myers, located at 13499 S Cleveland Ave Ste 247, Fort Myers, FL 33907, will continue to be the location for packet pickup from Friday, March 20th through Sunday, March 22nd. Their hours are as follows:
Friday, 10AM–7PM
Saturday, 10AM–7PM
Sunday, 12–5PM
You will not be required to send your results of your 5K to us, but we will list everyone who wants their listing made public. We hope that circumstances change in the future that will allow us to run or walk together so we will be able to raise funds for families facing homelessness and provide awards for individual runners.
Thank you for your understanding. This has been a very difficult decision to make, but we hope you decide to join us on our Homeless Hustle 5K VIRTUAL Run/Walk. If you decide that you would no longer wish to participate in this fundraiser, we will grant a refund. Please contact janet@leehomeless.org to request to have your race registration fee returned.
