Historic Ashview Heights 5K Run/Walk

EVENT DETAILS
The 5K Run/Walk will take start at 8:00 am, beginning at 933 Parsons St SW near the corner of Joseph E. Lowery. The course will be well marked with road chalk, volunteers, traffic cones, and police.

COURSE
Enjoy a run/walk showcasing the Westside of the Atlanta BeltLine Trail, winding through neighborhoods such as Just Us, Booker T. Washington and the lovely Ashview Heights Neighborhood.

WEATHER
The race will happen rain or shine. Be prepared to run in any weather. Only in the case of extreme weather will changes to the race schedule occur. Please check the Ashview Heights Community Association Facebook page, Twitter or Instagram on race morning for real-time updates on the status of the race if there is severe weather.

REGISTRATION
Online registration closes at 6:00pm on Wednesday, March 27th. After online registration closes you may sign up on race morning at the start/finish line from 6:30am - 7:30am. Cash only. $30

REFUNDS
No refunds or transfers from person-to-person or year-to-year. While we understand schedules change and things come up, we have a strict no-refund and transfer policy. Race Management reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to extreme conditions such as weather. Registration fees are not refundable in the event the race cancellation due to "Act of God" or things outside of the control of the Race Director.

T-SHIRTS
T-shirts are guaranteed to all registrations received BEFORE 6:00pm, March 27th. Those who sign up on or after March 28th are not guaranteed a race shirt. Any extras will be given out on a first come, first serve basis at the conclusion of the race.

PARKING
There will be plenty of on street parking within the neighborhood which will be free however out of respect to our wonderful neighbors please do not block any private driveways. Parking will also be available at Booker T. Washington High School located at 45 Whitehouse Dr. SW, Atlanta, GA 30314. We do encourage you to use Uber, Lyft and Marta.
Marta - Ashby Station located at 65 Joseph E. Lowery Blvd NW, Atlanta, GA 30314 is 0.5 miles away from the Start/Finish line.

TIMING
This event will be timed by Elite Race Timing. Each participant will receive a race bib with a timing clip attached to the bib. Results will be provided at the finish line and will be posted to Elite's website immediately following the race at www.eliteracetiming.com

WATER STATIONS
We will have one water station on the course. Runners are also encouraged to bring water bottles with them. Additional water and post-race snacks will be available at the finish line.

RESTROOMS
Porta-potty facilities will be available at the start/finish area.

FIRST AID
In case of an emergency, please immediately notify one of our volunteers or a police officer.

PERSONAL BELONGINGS
The Ashview Height 5K Run/Walk and its volunteers cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items. We do not have a secure area of safekeeping for your personal items. You will be responsible for anything you bring to the race.

STROLLERS
Strollers are allowed on the course but for safety reasons they cannot start until ALL runners and walkers clear the Start Line.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the continuous effects of improving Ashview Heights and making the neighborhood a safer place to live and for our Children Outreach Programs and the Ashview Heights Boy Scouts.
