Event: Autumn Leaf Run
The purpose of the event is two-fold, provide an opportunity for residents to participate in a heart-healthy activity independently on their own schedule and to raise funds towards Oakdale Nature Preserve enhancements. We would like to see the community use this hidden treasure south of Freeport even more now during these uncertain times, as it is truly a place to let nature work its magic. Its trails wind through various terrains including across two beautiful, native prairies and along a wooded creek ecosystem. Funds from the run would be used to make the experience even more enjoyable by support bridge replacements, trail upgrades, picnic tables, the fire pit, and more.
