Individuals and Teams
Step Up for KIDS invites individuals and teams to participate in the 5K and/or the Memorial Walk. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted. Teams can compete for the Grand Team Award by raising the most money. Participating teams must register under one team name, for example Reed's Runners.

Memorial Walk
For the Memorial Walk, participants are encouraged to walk in memory of all babies who have died too soon. This year baby signs will be placed on the 5K course; therefore, there will be no Memorial Bubble Release.

Packets
Pre-registered participants may pick up their packets at the KIDS office, 300 W. Douglas, Suite 145, between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Friday, May 03, 2024. 5K timing chips will be distributed with packets. Packets also will be available at check-in on the event day.

Awards
5K: Both adult men and women and youth boys and girls will be awarded for top three overall finishers. Timer Guys will time the event.
Team: The Grand Team Award will go to the team that has raised the most money.
Door prizes will be given away. All registered participants (runners and walkers) are eligible, but you must be present to win. Reminder: Incomplete registration information, including the liability waiver, will exclude a participant from awards.

Part of the Step Up 5K event is our memorial walk where we walk together in memory of those infants who died too soon. For those of you who have not been to Step Up in the past, we place a baby sign along the 5K route of each baby who is represented by a team. Things to consider:

Would you like the KIDS Network to include a baby sign for the infant you are walking in memory of at Step Up? If so, please email a photo of your child, with full name and dates of birth and death to support@kidsks.org. If you don't have a photo, please feel free to submit a symbol that may represent your child (star, rainbow, butterfly, etc).

Signs will be printed and placed in the Step Up Memorial Walk at Old Cowtown for event day and saved at the Network for the following year.
