Becky Brownie Bash & Dash

The second annual Becky Brownie Bash will be featuring a Dash in Becky's honor, as she believed in living a healthy life. Both the Bash and the Dash are to memorialize Becky's spirit and zeal for life.

The race is a 5k located in downtown Battle Creek, beginning at Sweet Kreations for You bakery and frozen yogurt shop, located at 95 Michigan Avenue West, and ending in front of the Ermisch Travel building. The distance left between the Ermisch building and Sweet Kreations at the race's finish line will serve as a silent march to reflect on the lives of both cancer victims and survivors.

The registration fee entitles runners to an official Bekcy Brownie Bash & Dash tshirt, a spot in the inaugural run, and (of course) a brownie to be picked up after the race. All proceeds will be donated to the Calhoun County Lung Cancer Fund in an effort to continue the local fight against cancer.

Remembrance balloons honoring both cancer victims and survivors will be made available for purchase the day of the event at Sweet Kreations to line the sidewalks of Michigan Avenue during the memorial walk. Balloons can be purchased by cash only either in bundles of five or individually, in a variety of colors corresponding to cancer ribbons.
