5K with Football Obstacles

Run for the Waves! Women’s Football 5K

Football training techniques are weaved into a 5K running course for a uniquely challenging experience. No prior football knowledge or experience is needed.  Obstacles may include:  agility ladder station, bag shuffling drill, and the finishing line scramble featuring Tidal Wave Players! Proceeds benefit the Grand Rapids Tidal Waves*, a women’s professional tackle football team which offers women in West Michigan the opportunity to play post-high school football.

*The Grand Rapids Tidal Waves are a women’s professional tackle football team established in 2018. We compete in the Women’s Football Alliance (WFA) consisting of 65 teams nationally, the largest, most competitive league in the world. Our season is April – June followed by playoffs. Many of the home games are held at Northview High School Stadium.
We rely on donations to cover our operating costs (e.g., home fields, travel to away games, referees). As a 501c(3), all donations are deductible.

Run for the Waves! Women’s Football 5K

Same course as the 5k with obstacles but bypassing the obstacles.

Proceeds benefit the Grand Rapids Tidal Waves*, a women’s professional tackle football team which offers women in West Michigan the opportunity to play post-high school football.
