Ruck participants will cover the same 10-mile course as the runners, starting at 9:00 AM sharp alongside the 10-mile run. You’ll have six hours to finish, whether you’re hiking, running, or crawling—just make sure you’re moving under your own power the entire time.

To qualify as a ruck and be eligible for awards, you must carry a minimum of 30 pounds for men, and 20 pounds for women, not including water or food. We’ll check packs at the start and finish, so make sure you meet the minimum weight requirement both before you take off and after you cross the line—no stashing your gear out on the course. Weighted vests are allowed, but any load-bearing gear must be worn the entire time and not carried by hand.

If you would like to use less weight, that’s fine but you will not be eligible for awards.

Trekking poles are allowed.
