Event: Splash World Sprint (40-Yard Dash for ages 5-10) (40-Yard Dash)
All participants of the 5K race, 1-mile fun run, and 40-yard Splash World Sprint, ages 5-10, will receive FREE admission to the theme parks ($43 value) on race day; a FREE ticket to a Camden Riversharks baseball game ($12 value); and FREE continental breakfast. The first 1,000 pre-registered entrants also will receive FREE T-shirts. Same-day registration and packet pickup will be held 7:30-8:30 AM.
Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three overall men's and women's finishers ($100 for first, $75 for second and $50 for third) and masters winners ($25). Plaques will be awarded to the top three finishers in 23 age divisions.
Proceeds from the event will go to the Walt Burrows Scholarship Fund, established in honor of the legendary former Courier-Post sports writer. Money from the fund will be awarded to 20 South Jersey high school scholar-athletes at a banquet in their honor.
