Plogging Run
Buffalo Marathon Urban Run Plogging Event
Great way for your team members to participate in the Buffalo Marathon Weekend festivities while getting exercise and help improve the community.
About the Plogging Event.
Plogging is an activity started in Sweden where runners pick up trash while jogging along a designated route. The name is combination of Swedish term plocka upp, meaning “to pick up”, and English term jogging.
Plogging is a great way to get out and move your body all around while picking up trash and jogging.
We will do a 3 mile plogging run around the streets of Buffalo lead by the Urban Runners. In addition, a two mile walk will occur focused on cigarette butts lead by Tobacco Free WNY.
All runners, joggers and walkers are welcome to Plog!
No experience required. We will provide the garbage bags and gloves to all runners.
After the run, a post run party will take place in the Entertainment District.
