PS 87 March Madness Virtual Walk/Run
PS 87 will be holding our first ever March Madness Fun Run/Walk! You pick the date, location and distance! Our goal is to get families outside, and exercising together all while raise some funds. Our fun run/walk will benefit the PA fundraising efforts which provide our children and school with supplies, programs and technology.
Between March 1 and March 31st get together to walk or run a 10K, 5k or 1 mile challenge. Join with other families to form a team or form your own individual family team.our run/walk can be completed anywhere you'd like either in NYC or outside. Suggested routes are below but you choose when and where to complete your race/walk. Take photos of your team joining in on the fun and fitness!!! Once you’ve completed your race, email them to pics@ps87.info so we can post them on the PS87 website.
There is a fee of $20 for adults and children are free. When you register, only register the adults on your team. *** You will be charged for every registrant. Therefore, do not officially register your children unless you are wanting to make the additional donation to the PA.** Looking for team tees...after registering, visit the PS 87 Store at https://ps-87.square.site/s/shop and shop for matching PS 87 shirts for your group. Once you register, there is a printable bib for you to wear and save. Once you have completed you race, register your time on your run/walk page. If this event is not in your budget but you still want to walk, please email pa-fundraising@ps87.info.

5k 2 bridle path Reservoir loops-Central Park
Make your own:
Central Park Reservoir loop is 1.5
Lower Central Park loop 1.7 miles
20 blocks=1 mile (have the kids plot out a walk/run)
Riverside Park has many options but to get you started, the path along the Hudson River, from 72nd to 158th street is 4 miles
