History Run #3 - Feat. Bo Shoemaker

That's right folks, we're back with another crowd favorite: A History Run with Bo Shoemaker! What is a history run? It's a 4 mile group run, with a stop every mile or so where local runner, triathalete, and historian, Bo, will lead an engaging discussion on local Rochester History.

This time the run will be up north in scenic Seabreeze and will be centered around historical events and details in that area. You will learn about the ghosts of the Seabreeze Neighborhood, the appropriately named amusement park, and the White Lady may even pay a visit! The run will start and end at The Reunion Inn on Culver Road; stick around afterwards for some food and a drink!

There will be four stops along the route, where Bo will share interesting facts about the mysterious history of the Seabreeze Neighborhood. Participants should be able to keep a 12:00 min/mile pace and will be able to regroup at each history stop before continuing.

The run will cost $5 and will be returned as a gift card to Rochester Running Company.

Bo Shoemaker has a M.A. in History, a law degree from Syracuse University, and currently works as an Appellate Court Attorney at the NYS Supreme Court. He's also the 8:00 min/mile pacer at our Saturday group runs!
