Soar with the Eagles Family Fitness Day

For 10 years Don Sommers has been the Director of Development for Kingsway Christian School. Recently, Don was diagnosed with a rare form of squamous cell cancer on his head and neck. He is currently undergoing intense treatment to help him battle his way back to health. Don and his wife Janet live in Dalton.

Kingsway will be donating half of the proceeds to The Melanoma Cancer Research Fund at the OSUCCC - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute in Don's name, to help with skin cancer research.

The YWAM 1-Mile will be used to help support Ryan Ferrell as he follows God's calling on his life. Ryan, a 2008 graduate of Kingsway, is currently serving on the mission field in Denver, CO with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Ryan recently led a group of YWAM students to Columbia, South America where they did public evangelism in cooperation with local churches. He is looking forward to teaching a variety of classes and leading future outreach groups.

The Eagle Dash is a run for children ages 2 - 10. The course is a 1/4 mile loop around our playground and grassy field behind the school.

Awards will be given to the top 3 boy and the top 3 girl finshers. All runners will receive a participation ribbon for their efforts
