ORRC Up The Lazy River 10K & Masters Championship

The Kids Run is an untimed run/walk that will be held at 10:30 or after the sweeper declares the course safe for kids to run/walk. This start time also allows people to run or walk the 10k and then watch their kids in the Kids Run. People are encouraged to bring their child for the Kids Run even if neither parent/guardian is in the 10k race.

There will be 3-4 "start lines" for the Kids Run. The shortest run will start about 100 meters from the finish line and the longest about 400 meters from the finish line. A lead runner and a sweeper will accompany each group of kids. Parents should have their kids run the distance most suited to their abilities.

Parents may run/walk with their kiddo as long as you do not impede other participants. Keep in mind that kids are highly unpredictable, fall down frequently, and treat many runs like a fartlek workout. In other words, don't trip one up or trip on one during the Kids Run.
