The original Color Run has been called “The Happiest Run on Earth.” Join us May 8th as Real East Texas Film Festival and The E Teacher App hosts Kilgore’s own version of a color run, fun run event.
What's better than running for fun with your friends? Running for fun with your friends AND helping others while doing it!
Between running through color-throwing stations and plenty of photo opps with friends, it's nearly impossible to be in a bad mood at this event. Participants should wear as much white as possible, but expect to finish looking like a rainbow.
The Color Run is the perfect place to practice your selfie skills while documenting the day. Don't forget to bring your camera (or smartphone) to snap pics of you and your friends covered in color. Before and after shots can accurately depict your journey from clean to colorful. After all, if it’s not on Instagram, did it really even happen?
At each kilometer mark, runners are doused from head to toe in a different colored powder. Runners vary in demographics and reasons for running. With no winners or official times, The Color Run caters to everyone—first time runners to seasoned athletes.
The Texan theater will host a jumbo screen Mario Kart tournament after the event. (Registration for Mario Kart Tournament is separate than race registration. Spaces and slots are limited. Registration is on a first come, first serve basis). Festival vendors will be available inside the Texan theater for all your shopping desires! Live music & food trucks on sight too!
