Fairway 5k Walk/Run
COURSE INFORMATION:
The course will begin in the New Market Community Park and run toward our downtown New Market area on Cadet Rd. This is a paved route. A right will be taken on Confederate Street and then another right on John Sevier Rd. Runners will then take a left and travel onto our Shenvalee Golf Course on their paved golf cart path, then continue on two sides of the golf course, following directional signs and will continue back on John Sevier Rd., then Confederate St, then Cadet Rd. and back into the Community Park. There will be one drink station mid-way through the course.
Everyone is encouraged to participate! Move at your own pace, this is a run or walk! Strollers are welcome but encouraged to start at the back of the pack. Dogs are unfortunately NOT allowed on the Golf Course.
Early Packet Pick-Up:
Early Packet Pick-Up will take place October 12th-October 14th 8 am-4 pm at the New Market Town Hall, 9418 John Sevier Rd., New Market, VA 22844.
WE ENCOURAGE EARLY PACKET PICK-UP, so we have time to assign late registered participants their packets on race day.
Day of Instructions:
We will be ready to accept participants, who wish to register on the morning of at 7 am. Please make sure to show up at the New Market Community Park, promptly at 7 am, so we have enough time to register you and get you a bib number.
There will be an awards ceremony with refreshments provided after the race. An Over-ALL Winner and the Top runners of male and female age brackets will be awarded: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+.
