Event: 5K
Start and finish at the Retreat Farm on Route 30, about half-mile northwest of downtown Brattleboro. Course is on the Retreat Trails and mostly single track. There is about 550 feet of ascent and the same amount of descent. Most of the ascent takes place in the first 3/4 mile, ascending about 350 feet. There will be no aid stations, so you may want to carry whatever you think you'll need. As far as trail runs go, these trails are very easy, but you still must watch out for roots, rocks and uneven footing.
