Orange County Parent Child Center Fall Ramble 5K, 10K, and Kids' Fun Runs

Runners are welcome in the 5K RUN event. Walkers, please register under the 5K Ramble WALK.

For the 5K Ramble RUN, there is a $20 registration fee for the first runner in a family. Each additional runner is $15.

This race offers a truly unique course that loops around the Chelsea School campus and meanders through a scenic, hillside cemetery. It is a challenging, picturesque blend of pavement, dirt paths, flat field, and hills. This race has drawn serious runners, eager beginners, and all those in between and we look forward to another year. Race starts at the Chelsea School, which is located just off VT RT 110, on School Street. Strollers and dogs are not allowed. Be Good Sports will provide professional timing services for this race. Prizes for top running finishers. T-shirts available for purchase at a discount rate for runners and walkers.

It costs $7 per person for the 5K Ramble WALK.

Here is your chance to get out and enjoy the fall scenery in a special way via Chelsea, Vermont’s side roads, trails, and cemeteries. The 10K course shares the 5K route for the first half of the course; it loops around the Chelsea School campus and meanders through a scenic, hillside cemetery. Then the second half carves a path through the downtown village center and into the nearby hillsides and streams. It is a challenging, picturesque blend of pavement, dirt paths, flat field, and hills.

We get rave reviews on this course each year, so spread the word to your serious running friends and groups. Dogs and strollers are not allowed. Be Good Sports will provide professional timing services for this race. Prizes for top finishers. T-shirts available for purchase at a discount rate for runners. Runners only in the 10K.

Children ages 3-13 years are invited to participate in the Kids Fun Runs.

These include:
• a ½ mile run (for children ages 3 – grade 2)
• a one mile run (for students in grades 3 & 4), and
• a 1.5 mile run (for students in grades 5, 6, 7 & 8)

Each race is fashioned with success in mind so parents, families, and coaches can spectate, children can feel safe and supported, and most of all, everyone can experience the healthy, appropriately competitive spirit of an energetic race.

Parents can register their children for this race for $5 each. In addition, we have invited area elementary schools to send groups of runners. Schools should register under the ‘Multi Person Pricing’ tab. Each group of 20 students needs to be registered separately. The Fun Runs begin at 11:00 a.m.
