Event: Scott Shively Memorial Tournament
After graduation, Scott continued to explore, finding his way to China where Scott taught English and eventually met and married his wife, a testament to his connection to his new home abroad.
Throughout Scott's adventures, his family stayed close. His parents, Bruce and Bonnie, traveled across the world chasing Scott on his adventures, always packing the golf clubs, playing some of the oldest and well-known courses across the world while spending time with their son. After Scott's passing, golf came to the forefront as a way to continue to honor Scott.
With that, the Scott Shively Memorial Tournament started in 2014 as in Scott's memory. A great way for Scott's friends and family to stay connected, have fun, and serve as a fundraising vehicle for the newly created Scott Shively Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship to support CU students studying abroad.
Along with your round of golf, you will have the option to purchase raffle tickets for $20 per ticket (in 2019 prizes raffled off included: Seattle Seahawks tickets, Seattle Sounders tickets, UW Husky Football tickets and more!). You'll also have the option to purchase a $10 "Super-Putt" entry. What's a "Super-Putt" you ask? Everyone will line up before their golf round on Redmond Ridge Hole-9. All will putt together and first to make the putt will win the Super-Putt contest. Example prizes include a round of golf, case of wine and more. *All monies raised from the "Super-Putt" and raffle will go directly to the Scott Shively Scholarship fund at the University of Colorado along with $50 of your golf tournament entry.
Join us, Wednesday August 8 at The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge, play some golf, have some fun and raise some money for some CU students excited to learn throughout the world!
