Welcome to the 3rd Annual Navy League 5K at Port Canaveral. Runners, walkers and joggers of all skill levels are welcome to participate. Registration starts at 6:30 a.m. race day. Medals will be awarded in age groups. After the race, stay and enjoy some H20, snacks and the awards ceremony. Come out and support our sailors from NOTU and The US Coast Guard.

$30 includes postage inside the US all virtual runners receive a medal and T-Shirt, price will increase after April 13th to $35.00
Spring Beachside Race Series
We are happy to be part of the Spring Beachside Race Series. Run 3 races, 1st Responders Race, Lucky Leprechaun and The Navy League 5K for $80, includes a special finisher medal for completing all races. More information to follow shortly (9/14/2018).

CUSTOM FINISHER MEDALS
We have approximately 250 finisher medals. The NavyLeague5K race has grown beyond what we anticipated. The first 250 people who have signed up will receive their medals, and anyone who does not receive a finisher medal on race day will get a raincheck and you will get one within 2-3 weeks of the end of the race.
TEAM AWARDS - Top 3 teams
Open Teams - Any combination of male and female. Teams can be all male, all female or co-ed.
Maximum 5 member, top 3 scored.
Parking is available at designated areas within Port Canaveral.
The Proceeds from US Navy League 5K will benefit US Navy League Cape Canaveral Council.
TIMING & SCORING
Race will be timed and scored with a disposable chip provided, which will be attached to the bib.
When and where does the race take place?
Saturday, April 27, 2019, The race course begins in front of Port Canaveral's Exploration Tower and runs out to the Canaveral Locks and back.
How long is the course?
The 5K is 3.1 miles.
How will I be timed?
The race uses an electronic timing system that records race time and place via a transponder chip, that will be given out at registration. Each individual competing in the 5K is required to use the race chip. Official times will not be recorded without a chip. There will be a clock at the finish line to view your time.
When and where do I pick up my registration materials?
Registration starts at 6:30 am for all unregistered participants – All pre-registered runners have a separate station where they can pick-up a race packet that will included a bib/chip and safety pins.
How will I receive my results?
Official results are posted for the top runners in each category, race staff has all results for on-site inquiries and results are posted on the race website.
Who gets a T-shirt?
Only pre-registered runners that successfully complete the registration and payment processes before race day are guaranteed a race t-shirt.
Can I participate in the event with my dog?
Sorry, as much as we love our pets too, the safety of participants is our main concern. Therefore, we do not allow pets on the course, but service dogs are allowed.
Can I participate with a stroller?
Yes, nurturing future generations of runners is a priority and demonstrating healthy lifestyles to our kids is special. Please, however, start in the later part of the runners.
Should I bring my own water?
Yes, but there will also be 1 water station are available on the course.

I will be out of town on race day and not able to participate. Can I get my money returned?
We appreciate your race registration. As the race brochure states, we are unable to issue refunds. We are not in a position to credit your credit card or issue checks. We are offering a Virtual race option and you can send the Race Director and email and pick up your packet and finisher medal at a later date.
Will the race be held if it's raining?
The race is a "rain or shine" event with the exception of lightening. The race director will determine if it is safe to run. All participants are encouraged to dress appropriately for the weather, such as in a rain coat or hat. Umbrellas can pose a safety hazard to others, so please do not bring them.
Can I transfer my entry to someone else?
