Sailfish Beer Mile 2020 Virtual Edition: where "Everyone is brewtiful"

October 30- November 30, 2020 (you can run your race anytime during this period) 

Feel a little unsure about running in a beer mile with a bunch of strangers? We did, too.

That's why we've pivoted to a virtual & small group format. Sign up online for the Sailfish Beer Mile 2020, to benefit early childhood education, and choose one of these options:

1-- Sign up as an INDIVIDUAL RUNNER:

 Pick up your packet, which includes tee-shirt, bottle opener medal, race number and BEER or ROOT BEER, ahead of time at Sailfish Brewing Company after October 29, 2020 and then run 1 mile and drink your beer at your own pace, place & time, any time before November 8th. You get 24 ounces of beer or root beer in cans and you get drink it during, before or after your race!

2-- Sign up for a NEIGHBORHOOD, FRIENDS & FAMILY or OFFICE TEAM:

Gather your team, friends & family or just the neighborhood folks, to sign up as a team. Pick up your packets, which include tee-shirt, race number, bottle opener medal and beer or root beer, then ID your course & run together for a loop or out and back mile course. Set up your beer stop (souvenir cans supplied by Sailfish Brewing Company)  and assign a time-keeper! You get 24 ounces of beer or root beer in cans and you can drink it during, before or after your race! If you are timing your race, be sure to include the beer-drinking in the timing, honor system.

3-- Join a GYM CHALLENGE 

Join the challenge at your local participating gym. Sign up online and choose a participating gym, (or add one, if you are a gym owner), then pick up your packet which includes your tee-shirt, race number, bottle opener medal and beer or root beer, and then show up at the gym at the time and place they've planned the run.If you are a gym and need to schedule your gym challenge up to one month earlier,in October, contact race director at Sanderss01@elcslc.org and I'll set you up!

Whichever option you choose, you'll be able to enter your finish time on this site and submit a photo or video clip, (or post to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram with hashtag #2020SailfishBeerMileChallenge) to compete for our VIDEO CHALLENGE AWARDS. You'll also get a VIP invite to our Team Viewing Party at Sailfish Brewing Company held some time in the near future (restrictions permitting) There will still be an award (a beer tab at Sailfish!) for largest team, fastest team and awards for videos to include: Funniest Video, Best Dressed Team Video and Judges Choice Video!
