Cancellation:
Hello,
Earlier this week, UF administration reached out to us indicating that they were cancelling our permit to operate on the pre-approved Lake Alice 5K course. Despite our best efforts, we were unable to reverse this decision. Due to this, we must unfortunately cancel the race for this Sunday. We will be offering full refunds to all participants. Any refunds not claimed after 1 month will still be donated to Grace Marketplace. Thank you for your patience.

Description
As University of Florida students celebrate Labor Day, we invite everyone in the community to join us on the UF campus at Flavet Field for a 5K run/walk around the beautiful Lake Alice. All proceeds from this event will be donated Grace Marketplace in order to improve conditions for the homeless population in Gainesville. Along with sign-up fees ($15), we encourage participants to donate to help us reach our goal in contributing to this effective resource for the homeless in our community.

Note on COVID-19:
Our volunteers take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously. Our fully vaccinated race volunteers will be following the CDC official guidelines for outdoor activities and encourage our participants to do likewise in order to foster a safer environment for this fully outdoors event. In order to accomplish this, we encourage participants, to wear masks while signing-in, before the race begins, or any other time where social distancing cannot occur. Thank you.
