Description
Breaking the Barriers is a nonprofit organization based out of South Fl. Within Breaking the Barriers there is a chapter called Tony’s Tribe in memory of Anthony “Tony” Garcia who was the founders’ son and brother whom lost his lost his battle with mental health in January 2018 and died by suicide. They decided to take his story and raise awareness on mental health stigmas and advocate on suicide awareness, prevention and provide post-vention help too. They work to create a safe space where mental health can be openly discussed free of stigma.
May is Mental Health Awareness month and Tony’s Tribe has partnered with ChasingFitness for our first annual “virtual” 5K event! Any fees paid for registration will be donated to Tony’s Tribe a certified 501c(3). Please feel free to check our website out: www.tonystribe.org
***Some participants will meet in person @ Hollywood Beach, COVID-19 pre-cautions will be place with a large portion of participants already vaccinated. Please be advised.***
