Looking for a Central Florida race that feels like a getaway without the big-city hassle?
Welcome to Howey-in-the-Hills, a hidden gem just 5 miles from the Florida Turnpike. Choose from the 5K, 10K or Half Marathon and experience lakefront roads, rolling hills, historic landmarks and some of the most beautiful scenery in Lake County.
Start near the shores of Little Lake Harris, pass the historic Howey Mansion, and experience the quiet roads and countryside that make Howey such a special place to race.
Half Marathon participants continue through Mission Resort & Club and Las Colinas, adding beautiful scenery and rolling hills to the 13.1-mile experience.
After your race, celebrate at our lakeside finish at JB Boondocks.
Known as “Howey to Hopkinton,” the Half Marathon offers a beautiful, rolling course and a great opportunity to put your Boston-training legs to work.

Half Marathon packet pickup closes at 6:45 AM.
There is no paper registration on race morning. If space remains, registration must be completed online.

For the easiest access, enter from State Road 19 and turn onto Lakeview. Other nearby roads will be barricaded for the race.
Please arrive at least 45 minutes before your race start.
Guests staying at Mission Resort & Club may use the complimentary race shuttle.
Spectators: The main parking area provides opportunities to see runners multiple times. Depending on your mobility and fitness level, additional portions of the course are within walking distance. The finish line at JB Boondocks is directly across the street from the parking area.
Course Rules & Important Information
All distances are run on roads.
Minimum pace requirement is 18 minutes per mile. Roads reopen based on this pace.
Every participant on the course must be registered and wearing an official race bib.
Unregistered pacers and bandits are prohibited.
Strollers are permitted; please start toward the back.
Dogs are not permitted on the course or in the start/finish area.
Participants using a service animal should contact us in advance so we can help ensure a safe race experience.
Referral & Team Discounts
Referral Reward: Get 5 friends to register using your unique referral link and receive a $20 refund.
Family/Team Discount: Teams of 4 or more receive $5 off each registration. Once the fourth team member registers, the first three automatically receive their refunds.
Virtual Race Option
Can't join us in person? Choose the Virtual Race and complete your distance on your own schedule.
Virtual packets are mailed within two weeks and are available for U.S. shipping addresses only.

Yes!! All live participants will receive a bib with a timing chip, virtual participants will be emailed a digital bib. Result will be posted on Run Signup!
The amazing awards provided by Live Trends Design Group will start at 8:15 AM with the 5K followed by the 10K awards at 8:45 AM & 13.1 awards will start at 9:45AM
Awards will be given for each race to the top 3 Male and Female overall, First Male and Female Masters, and top 3 Male and Female in 10 year age groups starting with 19 and under, up to 70 and over for the 5k and 10k and every 5 years age group for the13.1. We want to encourage all our top finishers to stay for awards and cheer each other on. Awards will not be held post race. Please stay and celebrate with us at JB Boondocks.
Yes. As usual we will have hydration on course for all distances. 5k two stops, 10k 4 stops, 13.1 8 stops. Details on stops can be viewed on the course map

Refund Policy
All changes and management of your race entry can be handled through your login profile.
Bib Transfers
Illegally transferring your bib to another person is strictly prohibited. Violators will be banned from future races, and the unauthorized participant will be removed from the event.
Credit and Transfer Options
100% Race Credit: Available up to 40 days before the event date. Use this credit for another FloDash race.
50% Race Credit: Available up to 20 days before the event date. Use this credit for another FloDash race.
Switch to Virtual: Allowed up to 7 days before the event date.
Entry Transfer: Permitted up to 5 days before the event date. To transfer your entry to another participant for the same event, the new registrant must accept and pay the current registration fee. Once completed, you will receive a refund for your original race fee minus a $3 transfer fee.
Post-Race Policy
No post-race modifications, virtual switches, transfers, or refunds will be permitted.
Cancellations
If the event is canceled, we will make every effort to reschedule or offer a full virtual option.
Final Note
No exceptions and no refunds will be provided outside of the outlined policies.

If you are running with a stroller please line up at the end of the pack. For safety reasons dogs are not allowed on the course or near the start and finish area. To run with your service dog please contact us.

Yes, but registering during the last week will not guarantee you a spot. Many races do sell out. Registration will remain open race morning if there are any spots remaining. You may register on your phone, we will not have paper registration . We do not accept cash
JB Boondocks our finish line sponsor will be serving some menu items and offering all finishers a free tap beer or soft drink. Beautiful Mission Resort & Clubresort also has a great restaurant where you can make reservations for brunch!!

Yes, please bring each QR for each packet you are picking up. QR codes are sent in your registration confirmation email as well as race week information email. If you are picking up multiple packets, please have screen shot of each QR code to expedite and process and ensure accuracy.
YES. We send a detailed email a couple of days before the race with instructions. PLEASE READ ALL THE EMAILS SENT TO YOU before coming to packet pickup and the race. HAVE FUN!!

Each registered participant has the choice of a free draft brew or fountain drink curtesy of our host JB Boondocks. Participants can only use the ticket on their bib. One per registered runner, must be 21 year old to claim the free draft brew
