Jared Bynum, a committed runner, triathlete and one of the founders of the PRS Running Club, suddenly and tragically lost his life on Sunday, October 7, 2012 when he was struck from behind by an SUV at the halfway point of his last 100 mile training ride before the 2012 Florida Ironman.
In memory of our friend, the PRS Running Club will host the second annual JB Race at Little Talbot Island State Park on Saturday, December 14, 2013 with a 5K at 9:00 am and a 1 mile kids fun run at 8:30 am to honor Jared.
The motto of our race: “Live. Run. Finish Well” describes the life of Jared Bynum. We encourage all of you to join us in living out this motto on Saturday, December 14, 2012 for a beautiful run through one of Florida’s natural treasures. The run will begin on the southern end of the park, run north on the access road through the park for about 1.55 miles and then back down the access road for approximately 1.55 miles to finish at the southern point of Little Talbot Island.
