North Port Fusion FC Soccer will be hosting our 2nd Annual Fusion Winter Classic 5k/1k event. All proceeds benefit the fantastic kids that make up our competitive soccer program. Our race is being produced and directed by My Favorite Race Events, LLC and is comprised of the Rush To The Goal 5k and the Break- Away 1k.
Meet us at our main Soccer field, where our event will start and finish for an amazing after party. Our loop course will take you winding through the streets of North Port as you Rush to the Goal of great food, cold beer, bounce houses, and music from DJ Justin of Party Pro DJ’s.
Runners, walkers, and strollers are all welcome to help support these young athletes.
This is also the first race in the Publix Championship Racing Series.

Only 200 tickets sold! What awesome odds of winning! Each time we reach 200 tickets sold, we will draw a winner, award the cash and then start our raffle over! Each time 200 tickets are sold out, a winner will go home with $2,000 CASH!
Tickets are $20 each and can be purchased on our Run Sign Up site, at packet pickup, on race day, or from any of our incredible athletes!

(If 200 tickets are not sold, the winner will receive 50% of however much is sold. As soon as 200 tickets are sold we start another 50-50 Ball Raffle, and all the same, rules apply!)
Awards
This is a timed 5k race with a custom medal for every finisher. Age group awards will go three deep. Masters awards will be presented. Cash and prizes for the 5k

Race bibs cannot be sold!
You have a couple of options. For $10 you can defer to 2021 Fusion Winter Classic or for $20 we will transfer your bib to another runner of your choice. The last day to defer or transfer is December 25, 2019.
We also offer Registration Insurance.
The registration protection option allows you to get reimbursed up to 100% if you cannot attend the event for several reasons, including covered injury, illness, traffic accidents, and more. It also includes Required to Work coverage as an added benefit of protection in the instance that you are required to work for a covered reason.
Terms, conditions, and exclusions apply. Insurance benefits are underwritten by Jefferson Insurance Company. AGA Service Company is the licensed producer and administrator of these plans.

Refund Policy
Your entry into this race is considered a Charitable Donation to the Fusion Soccer League. You can cancel your registration online within 15 minutes of registering and receive a full refund. After 15 minutes, there are no refunds for any reason! This race has a NO REFUND POLICY. By registering, you are accepting and agreeing to this policy.

Scoring
The MFRE Championship Racing Series uses a points system based on results from the series race. Runners who score in the top overall or top age group positions receive points at each of the events they participate in. An individual can win in the overall category or age group, but not both in the following:
Top five male and female overall
Top male and female masters (age 40+)
Top male and female grandmasters (age 50+)
Top male and female senior grandmasters (age 60+)
Top male and female veterans grandmasters (age 70+)
First place male and female in each age group
Overall Winners Series Points
1st Place = 35 points
2nd Place = 30 points
3rd Place = 25 points
4th Place = 20 points
5th Place = 15 points
Age Group Winners Series Points
1st Place = 10 points
2nd Place = 8 points
3rd Place = 7 points
4th Place = 6 points
5th Place = 5 points
6th Place = 4 points
7th Place = 3 points
8th Place = 2 points
9th Place = 1 point
10th Place = 1 point
Ties will be decided by:
The runner who ran the most races in the series.
If still tied, the runner that had the fastest time in the last race they both participated in will be declared the winner.
Awards
We will name the winners The MFRE 5K Series Champions and award the top male and female runner a great prize package.
The awards will be awarded at the Publix Fall Championships. November 14, 2020, as part of Publix Fall Championships at the Cool Today Park in North Port Florida.
The winners will receive:
A large Custom Trophy (larger than any individual race trophy)
Free entry into the entire 2021 race series that they won. All 5 races
A cash award (TBA)
Their pictures displayed, life-size, on our Champions Wall displayed at all five 2021 MFRE Races.
A quality Sports Bag embroidered with their name, championship win and the year.
