Michelle "ChellyRey" Reynolds is an Edgewater HS alum who carries on her parents’ legacy of serving the community through her full-time work at Every Kid Outreach (EKO)—an organization designed to equip and empower children to become productive citizens with solid character. She also is founder of The Sister’ing Movement, “a network of over 4,500 women from around the world whose goal is to provide opportunities and platforms that give women a safe space and unite them together as sisters.” Michelle was committed to walking in purpose, on purpose, and the Michelle "ChellyRey" Reynolds scholarship will recognize how well Michelle loved people and used every opportunity to connect them with their God-given purpose.
Edgewater High School's SGA has chosen to honor ChellyRey by raising scholarship dollars for students at her beloved Edgewater High School through this inaugural virtual 5k. The $38 entry fee is symbolic of Michelle's age before she departed. It covers participant shirts, race bibs and shipping. The remaining balance will go to the scholarship fund. There will also be an opportunity to include an additional donation if your heart leads you to do so.
The race is virtual and can take place anywhere across the globe.
