Race Details

The 1st Annual Cupid’s Dash 5k / 10k through Tradition will be held on February 8th, 2024 in Tradition Square. Event begins at 7:30 AM with check-in beginning at 6:00 AM. 

We will be doing a community wide race through Tradition passing by the newly constructed Heart in the Park and the upcoming Regional Park.

For this event, we offer special pricing to Active Duty Military, Veterans and First Responders, you can register with a $20 discount that will be applied during registration. There will also be a $10 discount for youth participants 17 & Under.

 

Packet Pickup

There will be a pre-race packet pick-up held on Friday, February 7th from 2pm - 6pm inside the Tradition Town Hall 10799 SW Civic Ln, Port St. Lucie, FL 34987. All participants are encouraged to attend this packet pick-up to avoid long lines on race morning. You are allowed to pick-up a packet for a family member or friend who cannot make it to PPU. If you can't make it to PPU, race day registration and packet pick-up will open at 6:00am.

 

Shirts, Medals, & More!

All participants will receive a commemorative finisher medal, race shirt, race bib, and more!

 

Timing

The race will be chip times by Southern Timing, LLC. All participants will receive an individual results page showcasing your results, pace breakdown, finisher certificate, and a 20 second video of you crossing the finish line! 

 

Awards

Awards will be given out to the following categories 

Top 3 male & female overall winners

Top 3 for each age group of the following: 

10 and under, 11-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+

Be part of Tradition’s first-ever 10k event, the Cupid’s Dash, where participants will journey from Tradition Square through our vibrant community, exploring the parks and amenities that make our town unique.
Dress in red and pink as we race to raise awareness and donations for the Jessica Clinton MVP Foundation. This local 501(c)(3) non-profit honors the memory of Jessica Lynn Clinton, a Port St. Lucie native who tragically passed away at 17 due to an undiagnosed heart condition, Mitral Valve Prolapse. Despite her severe condition, Jessica’s bright spirit and “million dollar” smile left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
The Cupid’s Dash 5k/10k is proud to partner with the Jessica Clinton MVP Foundation to spotlight the importance of detecting hidden heart conditions and supporting the foundation’s mission. Together, we aim to provide CPR/AED training and distribute Automated External Defibrillators to schools, parks, and recreational facilities across our community.
Join us in this meaningful cause as we run for heart health, honoring Jessica’s legacy and supporting a foundation that’s making a difference in our own backyard.

 

Schedule
The race takes place on Saturday, February 8, 2025 with early check-in beginning at 5:30 AM and typical check-in beginning at 6:00 AM. The race is set to start at 7:30 AM with activities to follow post-event.

 

Location
The event kicks of in Tradition Square and will loop around the Heart in the Park. The 10k extends down to the upcoming Tradition Regional Park, and both end in the Square with an after party and rewards. For route and additional details, please visit traditionfl.com.
