Description
On October 10, 2018, the 3rd most powerful storm in American History made landfall in Mexico Beach Florida. The devastation was horrific and spread much of the Florida Panhandle. Today these cities are on the mend yet far from being restored.
On October 12, 2019, hundreds will gather to celebrate life, progress, and the future of the great people of these devastated communities. The "50 for Florida" event is a 3-year movement that unites with other efforts to help create a sense of sustainability and progress.
The 50-mile run will span from Port St. Joe, Mexico Beach to Tyndall Air Force Base along I-98 and pass right through the heart of the need. The route can be completed by a solo runner or teams with 2 to 7 members.
Each participant agrees to raise $900 in pledges to help support this massive relief effort.
