AdventHealth Sebring Heartland Heroes Virtual 5K Run/Walk & 10K

The Foundations at AdventHealth Sebring, Lake Placid, and Wauchula are pleased to welcome you to the AdventHealth Heartland Heroes Virtual 5K Run/Walk & 10K. Your safety is our top priority and that is why the regularly scheduled 'Twenty-fifth Annual Foundation Gala Bill Jarrett Ford 5K Run/Walk and 10K'  has been converted to a complete virtual experience, to ensure that our participants safety and wellness goals can be achieved in unison.

This year, as in years past, 'we stand heart to heart and hand in hand,' and are dedicated to bringing you an enjoyable and memorable experience with the implementation of a farewell to the year, honoring of our Healthcare heroes, saying 'so long to 2020' and looking forward to  the holiday season and what is to come in the new year. To tie into the spirit, this event's participation shirt will be Christmas themed! This run/walk encourages exercise and friendly competition and qualifies as the final run of the 2020 AdventHealth Heartland Race Series.

As planning and strategic advancements have recently been restructured, our administrate team and Foundation boards have used the last several months to develop a way of giving back to those who give so selflessly to our Heartland communities. This virtual 5K & 10K experience is an extension of efforts from our Heartland Heroes Online Auction, which will benefit the Heartland Heroes Clinical Scholarship fund. The Heartland Heroes Clinical Scholarship Fund was developed to express gratitude and trust towards our local healthcare teams at the forefront of hands-on patient care. Participants will have between Friday, December 11 and Sunday, December 27, 2020 to complete their 5K or 10K. Submit run route, results and completion selfies to kirsten.scarborough@adventhealth.com by Sunday, December 27, 2020 at 9:00 p.m.

Participant shirts will be mailed out at the conclusion of the event, with the address participants use at registration.

Registration is currently open and will close Sunday, December 27 at 9:00 p.m. The first 200 registrants will receive a shirt (sponsorship packages do not guarantee a shirt for their participants and shirt sizes are available on a first come, first serve basis.)
