Description

RACE - This is a race through the trails of Halpatiokee Park in Stuart,Fl.  Halpatiokee is an easily accessible park just off of the Kanner Highway I 95 exit.  There is the possibility of some water, but most of the trail is dry 95% of the time.  The course takes runners through the beautiful Florida habitats of low-lying hammocks and fern forests, and out into more open pine scrub.  Half of this trail is an almost completely shaded technical single track, while the other half is an un-shaded jeep wide trail made up of a a combination of compressed grass and sand. The 5k is one lap and the 10k is 2 laps of the same course.  Timing for this race is provided by MCM Timing.
