 College Kickoff Classic 5K presented by Support 4 Caregivers

The Support 4 Caregivers mission is to provide inspiration, information, and support for caregivers and families in the special needs community. To ensure that caregivers of children with all speciabilities, including special health care needs, and the providers who serve them, have the knowledge and support to make informed choices that enhance the caregivers’ and children's development and well-being. We promote partnership with families, professionals, and the community to create communities where children and families can exceed expectations

A great deal of the support/participation provided for the upcoming College Kickoff Classic 5K is centered around children.  Many of the children involved have special needs and we want to focus on providing the safest platform for the children, staff, volunteers, and participants.  Our focus will always be safety first and therefore the decision has been made to convert the College Kickoff Classic 5K to a Virtual Only event.  We will provide each participant with an app that will allow you to track your run/walk on Saturday August 28, 2021, take/submit pictures, view results, and receive messages from the event.  All current registrants will automatically transfer to the Virtual event on Saturday.  We will mail all race packets (race bib, fininsher medal, and event shirt) beginning today.  Please reply to this email with your name and mailing address.  We will mail your race packet once we receive your mailing address.

This decision was not made without much consideration, but we feel at this time it is in the best interest of SAFETY for everyone involved.  We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we all look forward to the future when “normal” is back and we can see the smiling faces in person without concern of a virus.

We all have a passion for our college.  You bled the school colors then and still to this day.  As our school embarks on the 2021 college football season, show your school pride at the College Kickoff Classic 5K on August 28, 2021 - Virtually.  The event will be filled with runners showing off their school colors, fight songs, competition, tailgating skills, and most important.....bragging rights.

Show everyone why your school is the best, wear your school colors with pride.  We will see which school is best represented and host the title of best school.  The 5K is a chipped timed event with awards to the top 3 overall and in each age group.  Age groups are as follows:  Mens/Womens 1-8; 9-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-59; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+.  Each participant will receive a personalized race bib, event shirt, finisher medal, and personalized race completion certificate.   Get your fellow school alumni and supporters to join you and prove that your school is the best.
