Q: Can I donate or register with a check?
A: Of course. You can always drop off or mail a check made out to "Fairmont PTA" to: 724 Kearney St, El Cerrito, CA 94530.
If you choose to register for the race via check please email us at pta@fairmontschool.org and we can manually enter you into the race if you wish, so you can receive race emails and updates.
Q: I'm confused, do I register or do I sign up my child for a pledge page?
A: All the money we raise together directly supports out school! We suggest first registering every racer in your family and then creating a pledge page and asking friends and family to support you. We are just grateful for any amount of contribution.
Q: Can I bring my dog?
A: Of course.
Q: When do i do it?
A: Anytime between October 26-November 1. If you are local and want to join us at a safe distance, come to the Rock the Rainbow 2K on October 30th from 2-4 pm.
Q: What if my kids won’t run a 5K?
A: We would suggest the Rock the Rainbow 2K, just a little over a mile, we will provide some fun local course suggestions. If you are local and want to join us at a safe distance, come to the Rock the Rainbow 2K on October 30th from 2-4 pm.
Q: Can my Grandma in Texas sign up and run?
A: Register to race anywhere and everywhere!
Q: Is there a Zoom login?
A: No login is required! It is a virtual race but find your shoes and get outside if you can!
Q: I am not able to pay for the registration right now. Can I still participate?
A: Of course!! Run a 5k or the 2k and we'll all cheer for you! Bring your family and make sure to #FairmontSpirit on the course. Also, if you sign up to be an individual or team fundraiser and raise more than $25, your registration fee can we waived.
Q: Do I have to run it, can I roller skate or swim a 5K?
A: Great idea. Just make sure to take a pic and tag us! #FairmontSpirit
Q: Do I actually have to run or walk it?
A: I mean, no one is giving you a grade for this. You can do it!
Q: Do I get a t-shirt if I register?
A: Sorry, with COVID-19 safety concerns, we cannot hand out or manage shirt inventory. Please visit our Custom Ink Fundraiser page and a tshirt will arrive on your doorstep. Our first order has closed. We have one set up, you just will get your shirt in November.
Q: What do I do after I run the 5K?
A: Take a picture and let us know your race time! #FairmontSpirit. We are not able, at this time, to add a timer and bibs, but next year we hope to all meet together at the start line!
Q: Is there a prize?
A: The best prize of all, a happy heart.
