Absolutely! Walkers are welcome. Please keep to the right and leave room for runners to pass comfortably. If you’re walking with a group, avoid spreading out across the course.

Fight Hunger is even more fun together! Gather your friends, family, or coworkers to enjoy the event, encourage one another, and make a difference for our neighbors. Whether you walk or run, creating a team gives you a shared fundraising goal and a reason to cheer each other on.
Team captains can easily communicate with all members to coordinate meeting spots, matching T-shirts, or fun costumes. Plus, teams can earn fun awards and shout-outs! It’s a great way to build team spirit while helping provide the food our Northern Illinois neighbors need to thrive.
We won’t have a gear check at this race, so please leave bags and other personal items in your car. Bring only what you need for the course, and you’ll be ready to head straight to the start line!
Water stations will be available near the halfway point and at the finish line. If you have a reusable cup from a previous race, we encourage you to bring it.
Volunteer course marshals will be along the route to guide you and cheer you on!
