Where do I pick up my race packet, and who can pick up my packet if I’m unable to?
We will have two packet pick up times. One on Thursday, November 14 in lobby of the El Paso Electric building from 9:30am to 6pm and the other at the Sunland Park Racetrack and Casino on Friday, November 15 from 9:00am to 2:00pm.
If you are unable to pick up your packet, please make sure whoever is picking it up for you has a copy of your ID.
Please note there is no race day registration.
-
Is the race professionally timed and is it a qualifier for other races?
Yes, the race will be professionally timed, and results will be posted to our Race Sign Up after the event. However, the race is not a qualifier for other races.
-
Is there a time limit for the courses?
All events have a time limit of 3 hours and 45 minutes.
-
Do I need to wear my race number?
Yes! We use the race number to properly identify you in the case of a medical emergency and in photographs. All participants must wear their assigned race number in full view on the front of their shirt.
-
Are there refunds or transfers?
Regrettably, no. All entry fees are non-refundable, non-deferrable and non-transferable. No exceptions. Registered athletes seeking to change their registration from one distance to another may follow the instructions here.
-
How many runners does a workplace team need?
Workplace teams must have 4 or more runners, and they must be in the same distance to be eligible for the Workplace Race award categories. If a team is incomplete at the close of registration, registered runners will be eligible to compete as individuals.
-
Can my company create multiple teams?
Yes, you can create multiple teams in one or more of the distances but remember each team created must have at least 4 runners.
Large organizations can even create teams by department, branch, or school. We suggest the team names reflect both the organization and department. (e.g., United Way - 5k Team, United Way – 10k team, United Way – Marketing, United Way - Finance)

Can my family members or friends join my workplace race?
Runners in the work team should be actively employed in the organization they represent. However, family and friends are welcome to register their own teams instead of a workplace race and participate as a group to compete.
-
What happens if I get hurt?
There is no need to worry. There will be an on-site medical station to administer first aid, assess injuries, and provide emergency care if necessary.
Volunteers and police will be stationed throughout the course and are prepared to help an injured runner. If a runner is injured, the police or a volunteer will assess the situation and assist the runner safely back to the finish line for medical attention.
-
Are strollers allowed?
Yes, but we advise doing so for the 5k and 10k courses. We do ask that everyone with a stroller start at the back to aid in a smooth, safe start for everyone. We also ask that you be very careful when passing.
-
Can I bring my pet to race with me?
We love our furry friends, but regrettably, no, they are not allowed to race.
