The Mission
The Rescue Run is a fundraiser to support Fundacion Rescate's mission to rescue abused children of the Ecuadorian Amazon by providing a safe haven -- the Casa Rescate foster home of Sucua, Ecuador. Local officials (of Sucua, Ecuador) say that 2-3 children a day need to be taken out of their home due to abuse, neglect, parenting and/or marital issues and currently have very few options of support. The goal is to meet these children (ages 6-12) in their time of darkness and show them God’s great love by providing a temporary safe home, Casa Rescate, to serve not only their immediate physical, emotional and spiritual needs, but also those of their families. Through the 2019 Rescue Run, over $10,000 was raised for the Casa Rescate foster home!
