Description
The 6th Annual USATF Certified Intown Ten 10K Road Race **** and new for 2017 5K Road Race *** takes place in the residential streets of Virginia-Highland and Morningside neighborhoods of Atlanta. Both courses are loops which start and finish near John Howell Park which is located at Virginia Avenue NE and Barnett Street NE, Atlanta, 30306. Race proceeds benefit neighborhood causes including Trees Atlanta and The YWCA of Greater Atlanta.
Both courses have long flat stretches, some downhill stretches and some inclines, as is characteristic of the neighborhood. The 5K and 10K share the same finish line and the final stretch is a down hill quarter mile section on Barnett starting at St. Charles Avenue.
