Dahlonega Firecracker 5K

The 6th Annual Dahlonega Firecracker 5K takes you on a scenic tour of Historic Downtown Dahlonega. The Start/Finish line is on the downtown square in front of the Dahlonega Gold Museum, which is housed in the oldest Courthouse in the State of Georgia. Winding your way through the streets of Dahlonega, the location of the country’s first gold rush, you will pass scenic Hancock Park and many historic buildings. Winding roads and gently sloping hills guide you through quiet residential streets under the filtered sunlight of Pecan, Oak, and Dogwood trees which makes for an enjoyable and peaceful run.

Refreshments, high fives, and an awards ceremony wrap up the morning just in time to enjoy the rest of our 4th of July full day of celebration and events.

• Registration begins at 7:00 am
• Start of Firecracker 5K is 8:00 am
• Cost is $30

Awards Ceremony will immediately follow end of run at 9:00am. Bring ID when picking up your packet and be sure to complete a waiver. Wear your fun, crazy, patriotic, running/walking most comfortable clothes. Don’t forget to check the weather that morning.
