What’s a Briefcase Relay?
Team up with your co-workers or classmates, family and friends (or compete against them!)
for this quirky and competitive 5k relay that benefits the Georgia Mountain Food Bank.

How’s it work?
In a team of 5, each person runs one kilometer of the 5K course while dressed from the waist up in
business attire and carrying a briefcase filled with five cans of food (think heavy baton).

If a traditional briefcase is hard to find, laptop bags, bike messenger bags or back packs will do,
but they must be carried by hand—no shoulder straps allowed. And of course the attire depends
on your business—bankers, officers, bakers and even superheroes are all important jobs after all.
Get creative because the relay will end with a costume contest!

The real winner will be the Georgia Mountain Food Bank, who will use your donated canned goods to help
local families.

Whether you come for elite competition or the fun-filled relay, stay to watch the Six Gap Criterium at 1:10pm
and enjoy the all-day Six Gap Expo.
